Although India food is good, it has given us all some stomach problems over the last 2 weeks. I was one of the last to fall, but fall I did in Madurai. It was a good place to rest up though. Now, after 4 days of resting, we have pushed on and it feels good to be riding again.
Wauter, our Dutch world cycling friend whom we met in Greece, has now joined us for our last 2 weeks in India. Turkey was getting too cold for him.
Another big transition: We have split into two groups, never to be fully rejoined on this cycle trip, as we prepare to cycle to two different cities to catch flights to Thailand, and Lindsey, to Uganda for a year of research. Andrew and Kallie have headed northwest, and Lindsey, Steve, Wauter, and I have headed to the northeast. We have split up before during various times in Europe, but this marks the end of our cycling together with Andrew and Kallie, though blogging from all will continue. A possible Bangkok meet up is possible, but will not involve cycling together. Transition is in the air as we settle our post trip plans.
Six months goes so fast!
So glad you all are feeling better! I’ve enjoyed reading about your perspectives and cultural insights! Thanks so much for sharing!
Love,
Autumn
Hi Peter, I’m Ethan’s mom. Wow, another exciting journey. I
hope you plan on writing a book some day. Ethan just told me he and
Andy are planning to do this in a year!!!! They must have forgotten
for a second that they are having a baby. Good luck and stay safe.
